He continued that the rescued bird was spotted by one Adhikarimayum Hectar Sharma, a resident of Yaiskul Chingakham leirak on Saturday evening. When he found the bird, it was seen hurt below its mouth likely due to colliding a wall.

Hectar reported the UWPC team about the bird, and a team of  Wildlife Explorers Manipur led by veterinarian chef Vikramjit sharma under the supervision of Longjam Joykumar, chief conservator of forest immediately rushed to the site and rescued the injured bird.

Vikramjit gave first aid treatment and kept the bird for a night. As the bird became stronger, UWPC Manipur released the bird at Langol Reserve Forest on Sunday.

Expressing gratitude to Hectar sharma, Sanaton stated that due to rising temperature from deforestation, such incidents of wildlife entering into residential houses may occur frequently.

“If anybody comes across such incidents, please feel free to contact any wildlife organisation or report to the nearest forest office. We should join hands on safeguarding and preserving wildlife animals,” he added.
