Tense situation under control: Manipur police

Manipur police have assured that the situation was normal in many districts while tense situations at few districts were brought under control with curfew curtailed in the valley districts due to some law and order situation.

A release by state police stated that around 12 am on Wednesday, some armed miscreants came from the hillside towards Molngat foothill/Tronglaobi under Phoubakchao Ikhai police station, Bishnupur district and burned about three houses.

In the aftermath, many houses belonging to rival communities were damaged and the houses were already abandoned with many of them already damaged and burned partially, it mentioned.

It appealed to all not to believe any rumour and confirm any rumour using the rumour-free number 9233522822, adding that everyone should make all efforts to restore peace and harmony.
