The Tousem Area Students Organisation (TASO) has invited Chief Minister N Biren Singh for “Go To Hills" programme at Tousem in Tamenglong district.
In a meeting with the chief minister at CM Bungalow, Imphal on Tuesday, TASO submitted a memorandum to the chief minister and discussed for redressal of crucial matters.
Representatives of TASO has demanded for deputation of Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) at Tousem at the earliest, TASO information and publicity secretary Mordecai Gangmei said in a statement.
The team also requested the chief minister to set up a government teachers training institute at Tousem Sub-division, Gangmei added.
The TASO information and publicity secretary further said that CM Biren, while highlighting various schemes and projects that the government has undertaken for Tousem, has assured to implement the proposed planned programmes.
