One remarkable feature of the organisation was to accommodate all volunteering Meetei professionals, organisations and individuals.

Established as a non-religious, non-profit making organisation not aligned with any political party, the organisation pledged to work for the upliftment of all the Meeteis and work out a common scientific response to all threats to the Meetei community.

Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club, retired IAS, RK Nimai informed that Taragi Cheisu is a platform for formation of a unified body of Meetei intelligentsia. It will function as an independent body. The objective of the committee is to work as a thread to connect all Meitei organisations, citizens of Manipur and Meetei diaspora to create a strong bond like a garland.
