A new office for the Tampi Youth Club, Tampi Village Authority and Tampi Sinnu Ruwl (women organization) was inaugurated in Tampi Village, Chakpikarong in Chandel district by the president of the youth club, Sr Warthung Anal on Friday.
Though the village and the youth club have existed for decades, due to some reasons, an official office could not be had. So, a combined office of the three major bodies of the village was inaugurated.
Sr Warthung Anal stated that the shared offices of the youth club, the village authority and sinnu ruwl was inaugurated under the effort of the Tampi Youth Club and supported by the two others.
It was vital that we had an office building and this has been possible with the support of the youth club members, village authority and the Sinnu ruwl, Warthung said.
Lh Mono Anal, Chief of Tampi village, also congratulated and appreciated everyone involved in the inauguration of the office, especially the youth club. He said the office was important as it would provide them with a place to meet and discuss issues while also having a place to store documents and the likes.
Tampi village has over 200 households with 279 youth members enrolled in the club. The new office was blessed by Pastor St Behring, president of Tampi Church.
