In yet another declaration of support to an intending candidate, Chaengdai village in Tamenglong district on Saturday solemnly declared to extend full support to BJP candidate and former MLA Janghemlung Panmei in the forthcoming state general assembly election.
Chaengdai village is located some 13 km from district headquarters under Tamenglong police station with 170 villages and 567 voters. The declaration programme was organised by Chaengdai village.
The declaration was made during a programme for the solemn declaration of support for former MLA and BJP intending candidate Janghemlung Panmei by Chaengdai village Khunbu Keineguamang Panmei.
The declaration note was submitted to the intending candidate Janghemlung Panmei.
It stated that the Chaengdai Peidai, Chaengdai village authority and citizens of Chaengdai village in one spirit has unanimously resolved to extend full support to Janghemlung Panmei in the forthcoming state general assembly election without dropping any vote.
The agreement was signed by Chaengdai Khunbu Keineguamang Panmei, Chaengdai village authority chairman Dimthaorei Panmei and chaengdai village authority secretary Khiuluwang Kamei.
Panmei expressed his sincere gratitude to Chaengdai village: “Your declaration will not go in vain. I will be your candidate and I will not forget you. I will blacktop your approach road. There are many development works to be taken up if voted to power. Please pray for me, trust me and vote for me”.
A special blessing prayers for Panmei was conducted for his grant success in the forthcoming state general assembly election led by Chaengdai Baptist Church Pastor Kadijuan Gangmei.
BJP Mahila Morcha national executive member Manipur in-charge Sumitra Laloo urged the people of Tamenglong not to sell their votes. "You are fortunate to have Janghemlung Panmei as your representative. He is young and dynamic. Don’t go for other parties. BJP is doing its best," she added.
A lotus campaign was kicked off led by BJP national executive member Manipur incharge Sumitra Laloo and BJP intending candidate Janghemlung Panmei. A week-long BJP enrollment campaign booth has also been opened as a part of the programme and hundreds of people were enrolled in the BJP party.
Former members of ADC Tamenglong, BJP Mahila Morcha national executive member and Manipur incharge Sumitra Laloo, Yuriya vice president Mahila Morcha Manipur Pradesh, Amapui secretary BJMM Manipur Pradesh Tamenglong District Incharge, Rose and Senmi secretary BJMM Manipur Pradesh, workers of Janghemlung Panmei, villagers of Chaengdai, etc. attended the programme.
