Without discipline, a player will never succeed in his or her career, no matter how great their talent, Classic Football Academy president Th Dhabali said on Tuesday.
Speaking during a felicitation ceremony for the Classic Football Academy’s team, which recently clinched the AIFF Under-17 Youth League 2023-24 Championship, Dhabali emphasised the crucial role of discipline in achieving success in football.
Football, which Dhabali referred to as the most popular sport globally, has a special place in the hearts of the people of Manipur.
The state is known for its passionate football culture and abundance of young, talented athletes, he said, highlighting the academy’s vision of identifying talented youths, instilling discipline, and training them to become world-class players.
Dhabali extended his gratitude to the academy’s dedicated staff, coaches, and players, whose hard work and team spirit were instrumental in their success.
He acknowledged their relentless efforts and commitment, which have brought pride not only to the Academy but also to the entire state of Manipur.
The event was held at Hotel Classic Grande, Imphal, and saw the presence of YAS minister K Govindas, MLA Th Arunkumar, president of All Manipur Football Association M Ratankumar among others.
