STC-BSF observes ‘Run Up to Teachers’ Day’

The ‘Run Up to Teachers’ Day 2022’ was organised by STC-BSF Churachandpur in order to spread awareness about the history, mission and vision of BSF along with its recruitment process to the students of higher secondary schools.

‘Run Up to Teachers’ Day 2022’ was organised by Subsidiary Training Center of Border Security Force (STC-BSF) Churachandpur under the supervision of inspector general Umesh Kumar Nayal at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Churachandpur on Thursday.

The ‘Run Up to Teachers’ Day 2022’ was organised by STC-BSF Churachandpur in order to spread awareness about the history, mission and vision of BSF along with its recruitment process to the students of higher secondary schools. Photo Gallery and Weapon Exhibition were also organised during the programme.

The BSF team led by inspector general (IG), commandant/CI Hidam Shubol Singh along with subordinate officers, mahila subordinate officers, constables and BSF retirees interacted with the students. A documentary film on BSF titled ‘India’s First Line of Defence’ was also shown during the programme.

The STC-BSF team encouraged the students to opt for BSF as their career, and informed the students about the recruitment process of various posts along with the pay and perks of BSF. Brochures and handy pamphlets on the recruitment process of BSF were also distributed.

During the occasion, Arjuna Awardee boxer Laishram Sarita Devi visited various schools of the district and interacted with the students. She shared the students with her struggles during the early days of her career. She also commended the BSF for “being vigilant in tackling the anti-national elements operating across the border.”

As part of the programme, STC-BSF IG felicitated L Sarita Devi and presented her with an ‘Angavastram’ along with a souvenir. He commended her for her many achievements and extended acknowledgement for participating in the programme.

The STC-BSF Churachandpur also invited the students to visit the STC campus on September 3 to witness the different training activities of the institute.
