The 27th Foundation Day of Shree Shree Govindaji Nat Sankirtan (SSNS) cum 2nd death anniversary of late Padma Shree Astad Deboo was organised by SSGNS at the SSGNS Rehearsal Hall at Wangkhei Palace Compound, Imphal East on Saturday.
The SSGNS stated in a release that the programme was attended by JN Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA) retired guru K Kumar Singh as chief guest, JNMDA retired guru N Thambalngou Singh as president and JNMDA guru M Seityaban Singh as guest of honour.
During the programme, the speakers recalled the global contributions of Padma Shri Astad Deboo for the development of the Manipuri art and culture including the Nat Sankirtan.
As a part of the occasion, the Padma Shree Astad Deboo Memorial Award 2022 was conferred to Thingbaijam Nokuljeet.
