Dedicated and ideal teachers are urgently needed to groom young minds and impart good education which is the cure for all anti-social elements and behavior in society and the key to a progressive future, said Thanga MLA Tongbram Robindro on Friday.
"Apart from good educational infrastructure, the society needs dedicated and ideal teachers to groom the young minds in the right way," Robindro said at the inaugural function of the UNACCO School Chanura, Science Block and Refectory Hall of UNACCO School, Meitram in Bishnupur district.
Terming teachers "human-making engineers,” he stressed the need to introduce modern methods of teaching for better understanding.
Developed countries have started opening lab for mathematics to facilitate students on various equations in a practical manner, he pointed out.
Citing Chief Minister N Biren's initiative - “School Fagathansi Mission,” the MLA said that the state will witness positive changes in the education sector soon after the full implementation of the NEP 2020.
Concerning the use of government school’s students as a forefront in various state issues, Robindro pointed out that such acts give a big impact to the academics of those government students.
He, however, clarified that he is not against any CSOs or groups or against any issue. “My concern is the future of the students,” the MLA added.
The MLA wishes the UNACCO School family especially its faculties and students good luck in their future endeavours.
Chairman of UNACCO School N Irabanta in his speech informed that the UNACCO School Chanura was established with the challenge to provide quality education at reasonable fees compared to other private schools in Imphal.
Reaffirming that UNACCO School will never compromise on quality and will be hiring only well qualified teachers, he said that the school will stick to the norms provided under NEP, 2020 which is the future of education.
Concerning that the Manipur Board Syllabus is more suitable for people sustaining life in the state, he announced that the UNACCO will soon open a course for class X and below by affiliating in the BOSEM. Moreover the UNACCO is also planning to open collage by next year, he announced.
The function was also attended by Moirang MLA Th Shanti and director of UNACCO School Arup K Mukhopadhyay among others.
