The Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) along with the All Manipur Women Social Reformation & Development Samaj (Nupi Samaj) staged a sit-in protest in continuation of their “democratic” protest against liquor legalisation in some parts of Manipur at Lamlongei, Imphal West, Saturday.

It may be mentioned that CADA along with different women organisation of the state has been strongly protesting the decision taken by the cabinet on September 20, 2022.

Protestors chanted various slogans which said ‘the cabinet should withdraw its decision on liquor legalisation in Manipur’ and ‘Save the people of Manipur from liquor use.’
