Silent protest rally held on war against drugs

The protest, which started from Kakching police station in Kakching Chummang, went through Kakching Bazar and ended at Kakching Keithel Macha Naodam Bazar.

Students, teaching and non-teaching staff of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Kha Manipur College, Kakching, carried out a silent poster rally in support of Manipur government’s War Against Drugs on Saturday.

The protest, which started from Kakching police station in Kakching Chummang, went through Kakching Bazar and ended at Kakching Keithel Macha Naodam Bazar. 

Various placards which read, “we support government war Against drugs”, “be happy, be brave, be drug free”, “life does not rewind”, “you don't need heroin to be a hero”, “no to drugs yes to life, raise your voice against drugs” were displayed during the protest.

Taking part in the protest, Principal of Kha Manipur College Kakching, Yumnam Sunitibala, said that the protest rally is being organised with the aim to save the youths of the state from drug abuse. She also appealed to the people to stand against drugs for a better society.
