Shiv Sena Manipur State Unit led by state president M Tombi Singh is the real state Shiv Sena Manipur Unit and the new Shiv Sena Manipur State Unit (Uddhav Balashaheb Thackray) is formed by some people in order to get their own benefit, said general secretary (administration) Shiv Sena Manipur State Unit Chingtham Chandramani Singh.

Chandramani told media on Friday at its state party office located at Babupara, Imphal that the so-called office bearers of newly formed Shiv Sena Manipur State Unit (Uddhav Balashaheb Thackray) are the people who were rejected from Shiv Sena Manipur State Unit.

He said the real Shiv Sena is the one that is working under the leadership of Chief Minister, Maharashtra, Eknath Sambhaji Shinde and not the Shiv Sena which is led by Uddav Thackrey.

Under the leadership of Eknath Shinde the party has been working with the BJP party with 45 Shiv Sena MLAs out of 55 MLAs in Maharashtra. 12 MPs from Shiv Sena out of 18 MPs are supporting Eknath Shinde, he added.

After ECI froze the former party symbol of ‘Bow and Arrow’, the commission has approved to adopt ‘Sword and Shield’ as party symbol, said Chandramani.

He further said Shiv Sena will be supporting the BJP government in centre, however Shiv Sena will not tolerate if the BJP government turns against the interest of the people and added that in the upcoming local body election maximum candidates will be contesting from the party.
