To mark the completion of 38 years of dedicated healthcare services in the region, Shija Hospitals and Research Institute on Wednesday announced a free OPD consultation campaign from December 15 to 30.
Announcing the free consultation programme at Shija Hospitals in Langol, Imphal East, its chairman Dr K Palin said that the free OPD service will be available in Shija Hospital in Langol and Shija Urban OPD at Keishampat from 9 am to 3 pm.
As per the chairman, the free OPD consultation will cover an extensive range of clinical specialties and super specialties, including Cardiology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Dental Sciences, Dermatology, Medical Gastroenterology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Physiotherapy, PMR and Pain Medicine, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Reproductive Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Surgical Oncology and Urology.
To further assist patients, the hospital will provide a 15 per cent discount on relevant in-house investigations, a 10 per cent discount on surgical procedures, up to a 10 per cent discount on medicines and vaccines for immunization, he said further encouraging individuals holding CMHT or PMJAY cards to benefit from these services as well.
He also informed that Shija Hospitals has become the first NABH accredited medical college hospital in Northeast India, signifying a remarkable achievement in prioritising patient and healthcare provider safety within the region.
Regarding the treatment to victims of the ongoing unrest, Palin said that the hospital has treated over 80 victims, offering treatment either free of cost or at subsidised rates, in alignment with CMHT or PMIAY schemes.
