Search operations were carried out by a team of Imphal West Commando at Keishamthong Top Leirak and Hodam Leirak from 6 to 8 am as a part of the security measures being undertaken in connection with the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.

Around 70 houses, including rented ones were searched, during which as many as 120 persons, including six bailed-outs were verified.
Similar search operations were also carried out at seven hotels and lodges in Paona Bazar from 7.50 to 9 am. No one was detained during the exercise.

Another police force led by SDPO Moirang conducted search operations at Kwakta Bazar in Bishnupur district, during which 70 persons were verified. No one was detained during the operation.
