The 1st Women Camp of the St Dominic Mission Centre (SDMC), Lamphoupasna in Chandel district concluded on Sunday at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lamphoupasna followed by election of new executive members.
As part of the event which began on April 14, 2023 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lamphoupasna village in Chandel district, camp speakers/resource persons spoke on various topics. Rev Fr Jose Kaniyampady, SDB, Priest (i/c), SDMC) spoke on “Sacrament of Confession”; Rev Fr James Tangshel, Director, CMC, Imphal spoke on the theme of the camp, “Woman is a disciple of God”; Rev Sr Maria Goretti Lamhring, Ferrando Integrated Development Centre (i/c), Tengnoupal spoke on “The Holy Rosary” and Kl Stephen Ruwngkham, Retired Touring Catechist spoke on “The Catholic Doctrines”.
On the last day of the camp on Sunday, new executive members of the women society of the mission centre were elected.
The new members consisted of Sr Helen of Holy Catholic Church, Lamphoupasna as President; Ws Teresa of St George Catholic Church, Beru Anthi as Vice president; Bs Pauline of Holy Catholic Church, Lamphoupasna as Secretary; Ts Gloria of St Thomas Catholic Church, Lamphou Charu as Jt Secretary and Py Khihnem of Holy Catholic Church, Lamphoupasna as Treasurer.
Bs Mary Toshol who held the post of president for 10 years was unanimously chosen as the advisor of the executive members.
