On receiving a report that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) Pangei allegedly refused to conduct a hand swab examination of the deceased persons in connection with the recent Samurou killing, the Manipur Human Right Commission (MHRC) has sought the reason for their refusal to do so.

As per the report submitted from the police before the MHRC in connection with the suo-motu case, it appears that "FSL, Pangei refused to conduct hand swabs examination despite having its facility to conduct hand swabs examination," the MHRC stated on Monday.
