Ringui’s Got Talent Season 9 launched

Grand finale of Ringui’s Got Talent Season 9 to be held on March 5, 2024 at Ringui village in Ukhrul district.

With the objective to foster peace through celebration of budding talent, season 9 of the state level talent hunt programme, Ringui’s Got Talent was officially launched at Classic Grande Imphal on Saturday.

The theme for Season 9 is ‘A Call for peace in Manipur’. The programme is being organised by Dewdrops group.

The auditions for the talent hunt programme will take place in Imphal and Senapati while the grand finale will be held on March 5, 2024 at Ringui village in Ukhrul district.

Several renowned personalities including 2nd runner up of Femina Miss India, 2023 Strela Thounaojam, popular Tangkhul actress Angel Shimrah, legendary Tangkhul singer Thangmeiso Shinglai among others attended the launching programme.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Strela Thounaojam stated that the programme was an opportune moment to foster peace in Manipur through celebration of new talents.

“There are no platforms to showcase the talents of people in Manipur therefore such programmes are highly needed. We need to explore and celebrate our talents,” she said.

She also appealed to the authorities concerned to douse the tumultuous conflict in Manipur.
“Everyone needs to play their part in resolving the conflict. It does not matter what profession you are in, everyone has their part,” she said.

As such, she called upon everyone to strive collectively to usher peace in Manipur through advocacy of talent and love.

Meanwhile, Dewdrops convenor AC Raishing stated that the platform would be used to foster peace in Manipur.

“Every community is affected by the crisis. However, everything needs to be resolved to put the state back on track towards development and prosperity,” he said.

He further hoped the programme would develop further in the coming years.
