The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, held its 50th executive council (EC) meeting at the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi on Tuesday.
Secretary of Health & Family Welfare, GOI, Sudhansh Pant, RIMS Director, Professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma, RIMS medical superintendent, Professor N Sanjib Singh chaired the meet, stated a release. Officials from the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare also attended the meeting, it mentioned.
During the meet, RIMS authority sought approval to procure new medical instruments and also made several demands including free medicines and test facilities for patients, CGHS/EHS facilities for RIMS employees, additional faculties for various departments and starting of a residency scheme for PG students, it said. Most of the demands were approved after thorough discussion during the meet, it added.
