Condemning the attack, Teacher and Medical Officers Association of RIMS held a sit-in protest at RIMS campus on Thursday.

Speaking to the media, doctor Naorem Shyamkumar termed it unfortunate that a doctor who is serving patients has been attacked. This demonstration is to appeal to the people not to attack doctors and stop violence against doctors, he said.

The demonstrators, however, refused to reveal the identity of the doctor.
