Irate over the postponement of the written examination for appointment of the post of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) for RIMS, the Non-Teaching Contractual Staff Association of RIMS demonstrated in front of RIMS OPD Block on Sunday condemning the postponed order.
As per an order issued by the deputy director (administration) RIMS on April 1, the written examination for selection of 130 MTS staff which DPC was conducting in 2016 was postponed due to ‘administrative inconvenience.’
Failure to conduct the said examination on or before April 5 will compel all the 404 contractual staff of RIMS to launch cease work and close door protest from the next day, said general secretary of Non-Teaching Contractual Staff Association of RIMS S Sanatomba while speaking to the media.
Pointing out that the postponing of the examination might be due to the pressure from a student body on reservation quota, he said it is unfortunate that the student body suddenly came up with such pressure after a gap of many years.
The examination is to decide the fate of the contractual staff who had given DPC in 2016 and suffered for many years, he said, appealing to all the concerned to abstain from giving any sorts of disturbances in the smooth conduction of the examination.
