Right advice, motivational speeches must to shape student's career: Patsoi AC MLA

Every citizen is responsible to lead the children on the right path as the generation of today is the future for tomorrow, the MLA said.

Patsoi AC MLA Sapam Kunjakeswor Singh on Friday said students not only require academic knowledge but also need motivational speeches from time to time to help them shape their future.

The MLA was addressing a one-day motivational programme organised by Imphal Valley Academy and A-Cad Kota-based Coaching Centre at its premises, Ghari Makha Leikai, Airport Road Imphal West on Friday.

Addressing the function as chief guest, Kunajkeshwor said that 35 per cent of the total population of India is shared by children and adults, whom everyone considers as future pillars of the nation. Every citizen is responsible to lead the children on the right path as the generation of today is the future for tomorrow, he said.

Shaping children in this critical modern society is not an easy task, he said, adding that there are many factors that can trigger to divert the children from their studies and that can even lead to dropping their academic career. To prevent such a consequence, the right kind of advice and motivational speeches a must, he opined and appreciated the organisers for conducting such a motivational programme. He also expressed his wish that such programmes may also be conducted in other academic institutions.

Social Activist Dhanabir Laishram, who attended the function as guest of honour, motivated the students by narrating the life-history of freedom fighter Hijam Irawat. He said that will power, self-confidence, self-respect, self-discipline and conviction are some of the key elements to grab the ambition in one’s life.

He also said that the role of parents is very important in bringing up children. As such, couples should not quarrel, especially in front of their children, as it will hugely impact them, he said. Rather, parents should give their best in building a strong relationship with their children so that they can notice the behavioural changes of children, he added.

Senior journalist Sonia Sorensangbam also shared that students should pursue their higher studies in their field of interest and not according to the desire of their parents.

Every profession is equally important and children should choose their career wisely so that they can have a successful professional life, she urged and wished every student a bright future.

8th state rank holder of NEET, 2020 Laimayum Shiddhant Sharma and president of founder cum chairman of the academy, Thangjam Bimolchandra Singh also attended as special invitee and president respectively.
