The Manipur Shiv Sena on Thursday alleged that there will be no lasting peace in Manipur unless the government revokes the SoO agreement signed between the Kuki militant groups with the Central and state governments.
Speaking to the media at the party's office in Imphal, state Shiv Sena president M Tombi called upon Kuki militants to immediately cease their attacks on Meitei civilians and the burning of Meitei homes, which has resulted in the displacement of many Meitei people in Manipur, the place of origin of the Meitei community.

Tombi also emphasised the urgent need for action against those Kuki militants who are allegedly targeting the indigenous Meitei population in Manipur. He further appealed to the central government to facilitate the return of SoO militants to their places of origin.
Tombi also stressed the importance of supporting the government in its efforts to restore normalcy in the state.
In their pursuit of restoring peace and harmony in Manipur, the president also announced their decision to submit a memorandum to the President of India, the Prime Minister, and other authorities of the central government.
