Resolution to deport illegal immigrants

A meeting held by the UCORECH on Saturday resolved to identify illegal immigrants in Manipur.

A one-day consultative meeting organised by the United Council for Restoration for Communal Harmony Manipur (UCORECH) on Saturday resolved to identify illegal immigrants who have infiltrated into the state and deport them completely from Manipur.

The decision was taken in the consultative meeting held at Jawaharlal Nehru Dance Academy Auditorium Hall.

Altogether three resolutions were taken during the consultative meeting which included- demanding the passing of a stringent policy to identify and root out illegal immigrants (Rohingyas, Myanmar Kukis or Bengalis) from Manipur during the state assembly session and ramping up efforts to materialize the said resolutions by raising the issues to state and central authorities.

UCORECH president Komol Toijamba, retired professor Naorem Joykumar, culturologist Ningthouja Lancha and advocate Singakhongbam Zakir Hussain among other prominent intellects and figures of Manipur were present during the consultative meeting.
