The Centre has been calling for the reports since 2013 but the Manipur government has allegedly failed to do the needful, stated a release. Above this, the MLA’s have also allegedly failed to pressure the government on the same, it stated.

It also reflected on the statements supposedly made by the MLAs declaring their support for the ST demand, when met individually, it said. The chief minister had also reportedly assured to send it to the assembly but to no avail till date, it added and urged him to send the reports considering the grave future of the Meetei community at the earliest.
