Refrain from selling votes, intending candidate appeals

Development will be possible only when there is a responsible and a dedicated leader, said Congress intending candidate M Momo.

Voters must refrain from exchanging their valuable votes with money to make Sagolband assembly constituency become progressive in all aspects, Congress intending candidate of Sagolband M Momo appealed.

He was delivering his speech during the releasing of his election manifesto at his Sagolband Thingom Leikai residence in Imphal West on Sunday.

Development will be possible only when there is a responsible and a dedicated leader, Momo said, adding having a responsible and dedicated leader is only possible when there is a free and fair election.

He also stressed on the need to focus more on the health and education sector while pointing out that development is meaningless without good health and impossible with proper education.

On January 23, the Manipur Congress had released its first list of 40 candidates of the 60 seats in the Manipur state assembly and there was no candidate from Sagolband in the first list.

In this regard, Momo said that his name will be included in the second list as he is serving his people by following the guidelines of the party.
