The Manipur government on Sunday announced that Rarry Mangsatabam has been appointed as legal advisor to Chief Minister N Biren Singh on a contractual basis for a period of one year.
An order issued by secretariat General Administration department secretary Michael Achom stated that Rarry Mangsatabam has been appointed as the legal advisor to CM N Biren on a contractual basis for one year, on payment of consolidated remuneration of Rs 80,000 per month with immediate effect.
The payment of remuneration will be made from relevant HOA under GAD, Manipur Secretariat, it added. The tenure for appointment may be extended from time to time in public interest, with the approval of the cabinet, it mentioned.
The order had been issued with the concurrence of the Finance department vide their U.O No.195/2022-2023/FD(PIC) dated August 31 and department of personnel vide their U.O No. 62/2022-2023/DP dated September 12 and vetted by the Law department, it added.
