Two personnel of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) have been reportedly suspended on Tuesday, following reports of RAF personnel committing acts of vandalism along the Trans-Asian Highway.
A video that went viral shows some deployed security personnel breaking glass panes of cars parked on the highway, stated a release.
On the basis of preliminary inquiry, the CRPF has identified one SI and one constable of the RAF in the said crime, it stated.
Therefore, the said SI and the Constable of RAF have been placed under suspension with immediate effect as a detailed inquiry has been initiated against them, it mentioned.
During the period of suspension, the two RAF personnel will not leave Dett Headquarters without prior permission of the Battalion Commandant, it added.
