Public of Kamjong district, especially womenfolk and students, held a protest against the inhuman and sexual violence against two women in the ongoing conflict in Manipur on Friday.
Participated by around 1,000 women, the rally started from Peace Ground, Kamjong HQ, reached up to 8 Assam Rifles Gate and ended at where it started.
Many who participated in the rally and held placards with slogans such as ‘Respect Women, Protect Children’, ‘Respect Women, Respect Humanity’, ‘End Violence, Respect Women’, ‘Justice for Women Now!’ ‘Punish Criminals, Save Women’, ‘Peace and Harmony Now, ‘Women and Children Deserve Respect’, ‘Zero Tolerance For Violence’, ‘Demand Justice, End Violence’, ‘Empower Women, Stop Crime Against Women’ ‘Respect Women for a Strong Nation’, ‘Women’s Safety, Our Priority’, ‘Our Women, Our Pride’, ‘Respect Our Mothers, Sisters, Daughters’ etc among many others.
