Railway officials pay homage to Manipur landslide martyrs

The railway officials paid homage to the martyred soldiers of Tupul Landslide at the Unit War Memorial on Sunday.

General manager of Northeast Frontier Railway Anshul Gupta accompanied by the divisional railway manager, principal chief (Sig & Comn), principal chief mechanical engineer, principal chief engineer, and various officials paid homage to the martyred soldiers of Tupul Landslide at the Unit War Memorial on Sunday.

The martyrs were commemorated during Anshul Gupta's visit to Bn HQ of 107 Inf Bn (TA) 11 GR at Noney, a release said.

The commanding officer briefed the visiting railway officials about the works being done by TA in support of this Mega Railway Project, it stated. A brief and vibrant meeting between the Army Officers and Railway Officials took place to discuss certain relevant issues pertaining to the project and the role of TA, it mentioned.

Anshul Gupta was highly appreciative of the job being done by the Unit and also acknowledged their contribution to the speedy progress of the work, it added.
