QNET is an alleged fraudulent firm from outside which is reportedly operating in several areas of Manipur at the moment.

Speaking to media at the Manipur Press Club, secretary of the association Maibam Mikel alleged that five people from Kakching Paji, Toupokpi Kha Mayai Leikai, Pallel, Yairipok Kekru and Thoubal were actively involved in swindling huge amounts from the people.

"They take the lead in branching out the company and amassing large amounts of sums from the people. They lure people into their company and brainwash them to work for them," he said.

He maintained that the company trained their workers to network with their relatives, friends and squeeze out money with fake promises of huge returns.

As such he drew the attention of authorities concerned to stop such fraud companies from operating in the state.

"We have already lodged around 30 FIRs in connection with the case. They preyed on innocent victims and looted them of their hard earned money," he said.

He also cautioned people to be alert of such companies who lure people to invest sums in promise of huge returns.
