Manipur MLA Th Arunkumar on Saturday visited Ningthem Pukhri Mapal water supply and Hatta Golapati Water treatment plant Lainingthou Awangba Water supply along with other water reservoirs of Wangkhei Assembly constituency.
Arunkumar assured, on the sideline of his visit, that the problem of drinking water for Wangkhei assembly constituency will be solved within three months.
The people of Wangkhei assembly constituency have been facing drinking water issues for a long time, the MLA said. And in connection with the issue, he informed the House during the recent assembly session, the MLA added.
To solve the issue and to provide drinking water within the next three months, the MLA said he will put in his best. He also said that he will personally monitor the construction works of water supply plants of Wangkhei assembly constituency to maintain its quality.
Informing that cleaning of drainage has also started before the coming of monsoon rain, Arunkumar appealed to the people of Wangkhei to cooperate with him while he tries to bring development for the welfare of the people.
Officials of the concerned department also accompanied the MLA during the visit.
