The proscribed People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) on Monday announced that it will observe ‘Indian Colonialism Resist Day’ on Tuesday in remembrance of the human rights violations and atrocities committed by the Indian armed forces on the people of Manipur.
To recall crimes committed under the shadows of many black laws, murder of women and children, torture and harassment, rape, the missing of many individuals after arrests; the massacre of Patsoi-Langjing, PREPAK will be observing the day at its central headquarter, general headquarter, THQ, transit Camps, training centres and other units, PREPAK stated in a release issued by publicity and propaganda LeibaakNgaakpa Luwang.
“On this day, PREPAK appeals to all to stand against the ‘Indian Colonial Force’ and make a strong statement in unison not to ever repeat the violations against the people,” it stated.
‘Indian Colonialism Resist Day’ is being observed to recall the incident of Patsoi-Langjing Khunou, 1980 during which civilians, including women and children were tortured, raped and molested by CRPF personnel, it stated. Cadres of PREPAK’s red army killed two CRPF personnel around 9:15 and took possession of two arms from them on that particular day, it added.
In retaliation, CRPF personnel killed four innocent people including a pregnant lady at Patsoi-Langjing while many were left handicapped, it mentioned.
On arrival of the ninth ‘Indian Colonialism Resist Day 2022’, PREPAK further appeals to the public to make an united stand and raise the slogan of ‘Go back Indian Occupation Force’, it added.
