The Organising Committee of Public Assembly for Restoration of Peace in Manipur on Saturday held a public assembly at XI Star Union’s ground at Singjamei Akampat, wherein attendees unanimously adopted seven resolutions in connection woth the prevailing situation in the state.
The resolutions included demand to immediately put an end to the ongoing conflict in the state, to maintain status quo of Manipur as it existed before the conflict and to provide proper security arrangements along the national highways to ensure free flow of traffic, a release stated.

The demands also included providing a befitting rehabilitation package to the displaced Manipuri victims, curbing poppy plantations in the state, restoring mobile internet services immediately, properly managing SoO truce with Kuki militants and declaring those attacking civilians using sophisticated weapons as terrorists.
The said demands will also be raised to the Prime Minister, Union Home minister and Manipur chief minister, it mentioned.
The Committee urged those authrities concerned to fulfil their demands by September 23. Failure to fulfil their seven demands will result in intense public agitations against the ministers, MLAs and BJP office bearers from September 24, it added.
