Terming the act as a violation of human rights, the statement issued by its secretary Aphian Gonmei stated that such indiscriminate act of the Indian security forces is a violation of human rights and a crime against humanity.

Appealing to the authority concerned to book those responsible and deliver justice at the earliest, the Zeliangrong Union Tamenglong zone expressed that it stands in solidarity with the konyak brethren at the time of sorrow and pain.

"We share our deepest condolences to the grieving families and pray that the departed souls rest in peace,” Aphian Gonmei added.

The Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL) also condemned the killing of the innocent Naga brethrens and demanded immediate trial of the culprits as war criminals.

Nagaland state is said to be under a ceasefire agreement with the Government of India, KKL stated in a release. “However, the AFSPA is still enforced there to justify such genocidal killings and hence we demand that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah should immediately move the Indian Parliament to repeal the AFSPA with immediate effect. We, the Manipuris, have been appealing to the Indian Government for the last more than 50 years to remove the AFSPA,” it stated.

“It is high time my dear brethrens of the entire Northeast of India to awake and revoke and uproot the AFSPA from our soil. Let us unite and fight against the AFSPA, 1958,” it added.
