A one-day workshop on 'Hands on with Entrepreneurship' was held in Imphal on Friday, organised by Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), DM College of Commerce in collaboration with Advancing North East - initiative of North Eastern Council, Ministry of Development of North East region and North eastern Development Financial Corporation Ltd (NEDFi).
The workshop was organised at the DM College of Teachers' Education Conference Hall.
DMU controller of examination, Professor Asem Nabachandra; HOD in-charge, Commerce Department, N Jayenti Devi and NEDFi regional manager, Priyobarta Gurumayum, along with students from various institutions took part in the workshop.
Speaking on the occasion, Priyobarta Gurumayum asserted that a Memorandum of Understanding had been signed with DMU to develop entrepreneurial potential among students in the university.
He maintained that the workshop had been organised to exhort students to explore their innovative potentials.
"Various schemes are provided under NEDFi and the Union Ministry, people need to be made aware about such measures", he said.
Hence, he stressed the need to organise such programmes more frequently in the state.
