The inmates of old age home ‘Palem Panthou Masaigol’ in Wangjing Sorokhaibam leikai were provided dry ration by recipient of Dr Ambedkar fellowship national award Ningthoujam Anjit, son of Samungou from Heirok Part II, Tomal Makhong in Thoubal district on Saturday.

Ningthoujam Anjit who is teaching at Heirok High school expressed concern about the rising numbers of old age homes.

Ningthoujam Anjit, who is working as a teacher at Heirok High school, expressed concern about the rising numbers of old age homes. The inmates are kept at the old age homes mostly due to their family members being unable to look after them, he said.
The aid was provided in the presence of Palem Panthou Masaigol founder cum secretary Kh Kamala and president Yumnam Mahendrakumar.
