The 14th death anniversary of Professor N Sanajaoba, popularly known as Ojha Sanajaoba, was commemorated on Wednesday at the memorial complex of the late soul at Lairikyengbam Leikai in Imphal East.
Due to the prolonged seven months long ongoing crisis, this year’s commemoration was held in a low-key manner, with only paying floral tribute and ritual ceremony for the late soul.
Well-wishers, friends and family members who attended the commemoration remembered Ojha Sanajaoba as not just a leader but an institute which endeavoured for peace and harmony in the multi-ethnic Manipuri society.
Speaking to the media on the sideline of the programme, managing trustee of Ojha Sanajaoba Memorial Trust S Bhubol said that the late Ojha was a leader who was seriously engrossed in the problems and challenges being accosted by the people of Northeast as a whole and Manipur in particular.
Ojha was a propounded workable path to solutions, he said adding, “Ojha Sanajaoba is indeed a constructive iconoclast of the 21st century Manipuri society.”
Stating that the razor-sharp propositions shall be the weapon for axing the barricades and crackling nuts to avail indisputable resolutions to sensitive issues, he said that the Ojha’s principles could be the solution to the ongoing unrest in Manipur and bring lasting peace and harmony.
He went on to state that the written works of the Ojha in literature and opinions on diverse socio-political issues will forever remain as an inspiration for a better Manipur.
