The 4th National Youth Parliament Festival (YPF) 2023 will be organised as per the guidelines issued by the Union Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry.
Michael Thangminlien Mate, District Youth Officer, NYK Chandel in a release stated that the festival will be done in physical mode whereas district and state level will be done in virtual mode.
The release further stated that district level YPF started from January 25 and will continue till January 30 and state level will be organised from February 3 to 7.
As per instructions from NYKS headquarters, NYK Chandel will be the nodal venue district for the districts of Chandel, Thoubal, Imphal East, Senapati, Ukhrul, Tengnoupal, Kakching, Jiribam and Kamjong and in this regard, NYK Chandel will host the District YPF on 30th January 2023 in collaboration with CWG, Lhunnajang. One nodal venue will host 5 to 10 districts for District YPF, it said.
Participants of the festival must be within the age group of 18-25 years and each speaker will be given a chance to speak for three minutes. The speakers can speak on the topics Health, Wellbeing & Sports – Agenda for Youth, Skill Development – One of the keys to empower youth and Social Media – Youth Perspective.
Two best speakers from each district will be awarded a certificate of merit and will be given the opportunity to represent the district at the state level YPF and best three speakers from the state will be sent to the National Youth Parliament Festival at Delhi.
The release also informed all intending participants to contact their respective district NYK offices for registration forms.
