Nallong Village Authority and Nallong Students’ Union Manipur on Monday extended their gratitude to Tamenglong deputy commissioner L Angshim Dangshawa for personally funding to repair the 353 feet-long ‘Lifeline Bridge’ over the Barak River, connecting Nallong village in Manipur and Puilwa village in Nagaland.

Nallong Village Authority and Nallong Students’ Union Manipur on Monday extended their gratitude to Tamenglong deputy commissioner L Angshim Dangshawa for personally funding to repair the 353 feet-long ‘Lifeline Bridge’ over the Barak River, connecting Nallong village in Manipur and Puilwa village in Nagaland.

Nallong Village Authority chairman Malinlungbo and Nallong Students’ Union Manipur president Paramkendibo told this IFP correspondent that deputy commissioner Angshim Dangshawa’s swift response to this critical need has alleviated a decade-long concern, particularly during the perilous monsoon season.

They said that the significance of this lifeline bridge cannot be overstated; it serves as a vital connection not only for Nallong but also for numerous surrounding and neighboring villages.

They said, “Dangshawa’s compassion and dedication to our community’s welfare have profoundly touched every villager, and we express our sincerest thanks from the depths of our souls.”

Additionally, they also extended heartfelt appreciation to SP Chamchangbou and Hutalakbou, the president and vice president, respectively of Nallong Youth Club, Manipur for their proactive leadership in spearheading the endeavor.

Their judicious utilization of the funds received from Dangshawa ensured the project’s completion with utmost quality, further underscoring their commitment to the community’s well-being, they said.

“Together, your collective efforts have not only repaired a bridge but have also strengthened the bonds of unity and solidarity within our village and beyond.

May your actions continue to ignite the spirit of community service, empowering us to make a lasting and positive impact for generations to come,” they said.
