A seven-day-long National Service Scheme' Special Camping programme for Unit -1 of Lamka College was inaugurated on Monday by the Principal of Lamka Govt College, T Awnzagen at the Conference Hall of the college.
The inaugural programme of the seven-day NSS special camping was presided by the PO NSS Unit-1 of Lamka College, assistant professor K Touthang, while NSS PO of Unit-1/ Rayburn College, assistant professor Kimzalun, was the resource person.
Exhorting the gathering, principal of Lamka collage, who was also the chief guest, said that NSS is very important for students as they do practical things by connecting and providing voluntary community service to the society.
While appreciating the students and the concerned resource person and the programme officials for their effort, T Awnzagen also told the gathering that the programme was under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports with primary aim to develop the personality and characters of the students to be players in the Society/community as no one can live in isolation.
The NSS special camping programme for students of Lamka Government College will end on April 2, 2023.
