NPP candidate gets grand reception in Tamenglong

After Janghemlung Panmei was denied a BJP ticket, he along with his supporters resigned from BJP primary membership. A reaffirmation programme was held for Janghemlung and his supporters who resigned, at his residence.

A grand reception for the National People's Party (NPP) candidate Janghemlung Panmei was held on Wednesday at his residence, Utopia Ward No I, Tamenglong HQ, Manipur.

After Janghemlung Panmei was denied a BJP ticket, he along with his supporters resigned from BJP primary membership. A reaffirmation programme was held for Janghemlung and his supporters who resigned, at his residence.

A special prayer for his success in the forthcoming 12 general assembly election was again conducted during the grand reception programme led by Zeme Naga Baptist Church Pastor reverend Namreikeu Pame.

The NPP flag was also hoisted by election steering committee chairman NG Landinthui. Zeme Naga Baptist Church pastor reverend Namreikeu Pame made a prayer. 

Speaking at the occasion, Janghemlung Panmei said NPP will remain 'king maker' in Manipur and it was a great pleasure to be in the NPP.

Panmei urged all his supporters to continue working for the party's grand success in the forthcoming 12th Manipur assembly elections. 

Hundreds of women supporters holding NPP flags and wearing NPP caps staged rallies, shouting slogans in his support through the town on Wednesday.
