A meeting with all nodal officers in connection with the forthcoming by-elections to two assembly constituencies namely, 30-Lilong and 34-Wangjing Tentha in Thoubal district was held in the conference hall of DC Office, Thoubal on Saturday.
The meeting was convened by the district election officer and deputy commissioner, Thoubal, N Bandana to ensure preparedness for the smooth conduct of the by-elections in the district.
In the meeting, DEO/DC urged the nodal officers to be well versed with the guidelines given by the Election Commission of India (ECI). She also asked the officers to give the best efforts in their respective assigned duties with dedication and sincerity.
ADEO/ADM, L Radhakanta also highlighted the work distribution of each nodal officer for conducting the by-election. All the nodal officers, who were appointed for the by-election, attended the meeting.
