NIT Manipur improves NIRF rank

This year, the highest package offered to a student of NIT, Manipur was Rs. 47 lakh per annum by Amazon while another student was also offered Rs 45 lakh per annum by Microsoft.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Manipur has been ranked 108th among Engineering Colleges as per National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), 2022, rising from 114 of the previous year.

According to a press release by NIT, Manipur on Friday, the Union Education Minister had declared NIRF-2022 on July 15, 2022 where NIT, Manipur secured 108th rank among the engineering colleges of India, rising from 114th rank in the previous year.

More than 7,000 colleges have been ranked in the NIRF-2022 this year.

NIT Manipur, Goutam Sutradhar, congratulated all the teaching and non-teaching members, including the students on improving the rank. He expressed his satisfaction with the ranks as it was secured with limited infrastructure and several other constraints. He also appreciated the training and placement cell for their commendable performance.

This year, the highest package offered to a student of NIT, Manipur was Rs. 47 lakh per annum by Amazon while another student was also offered Rs 45 lakh per annum by Microsoft.

It may be recalled that last year the highest placement offered was made by Microsoft with an offer of Rs 42.5 lakh per annum.

NIT Manipur student's placements are among the best in the NorthEast region. The director exuded confidence that his team will put more effort to break into the top 100 colleges next year, the release added.
