Nine-month-old heart patient receives financial aid

The Manipur Heart Foundation to provide financial assistance to people of Manipur belonging to the BPL families and economically weaker sections admitted in government or government recognised private hospitals for treatment of heart diseases.

A nine-month-old boy from Nongpok Kakching, Imphal East who was born with severe pulmonary heart diseases received a sum of Rs 15,000 from founder president of Manipur Heart Foundation (MHF) Dr L Shyamkishore on March 12.

On receiving the financial aid which was given towards the treatment expenses, mother of the boy expressed her gratitude to the foundation, MHF stated in a release.

The founder president asserted that the foundation will continue to provide financial assistance to the people of Manipur belonging to the BPL families and economically weaker sections admitted in government or government recognised private hospitals for treatment of heart diseases, it stated.

For such financial assistance, heart patients or parents have to apply along with the relevant medical documents at the office of MHF near SKY Hospital in Imphal West, it further stated, adding generous donation from philanthropists and people of Manipur to the MHF is also welcomed to help those heart patients who are in need of financial assistance for treatment.
