Newly inducted MLA Chinlunthang of the Kuki People’s Alliance (KPA) who won the Singngat Assembly Constituency seat in the 12th Manipur Assembly election 2022 was felicitated in his hometown Churachandpur HQ on Tuesday.

The event was attended by MLA of Saikul Assembly Constituency Kimneu Haokip Hangshing, KPA leaders and supporters, tribe leaders, social organisations, student body leaders and leaders of women’s organisation of Churachandpur district.
Congratulating Chinlunthang on his victory in the 12th State Assembly Election, the tribe leaders urged the MLA to voice the queries of the tribal public to the Manipur Assembly.
Recalling Chinlunthang’s previous occupation as a lawyer, the leaders extended wishes for the MLA to work for the protection of the rights of tribal lands.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Chinlunthang appealed to the people to forgive one another and stand as one. Quoting that “men proposes and God disposes”, he added that God gave him a mandate through the people to work for the public, impartially.
