New Era Higher Secondary School founder chairman N Ojit and principal Thongam Kumar led the team in extending the relief items to around 106 displaced people.

New Era Higher Secondary School Thoubal Okram Wangmataba Managing Committee extended food items and mattresses to the inmates of the relief camp opened at Laphupat Tera High School under DC Imphal West district on Sunday.

New Era Higher Secondary School founder chairman N Ojit and principal Thongam Kumar led the team in extending the relief items to around 106 displaced people from Churachandpur, Torbung Bangla, Saiton, Sugnu, Wapokpi,  Khoijuman Tabi, Serou, Wangu Sabal and Kumbi Terakhong taking shelter in the relief camp. The items donated are 71 mattresses, onion, potato, dal and cooking oil. They also extended a financial aid of rupees 10 thousand for the children in the relief camp.

Founder chairman N Ojit said that the donations were being made for the inmates after seeing news of the inmates sleeping without a mattress in the relief camps. He also appealed to the students to work hard for their future and make their parents proud.

Managing Committee Convenor and Headmaster of Laphupat Tera High School Ningthoujam Kumar appreciated the founder chairman and staff of New Era Higher Secondary School for the donation.
