Manipur International Youth Centre (MIYC) on Thursday urged the Meiteis as well as indigenous communities of the state to unite in the fight against the Kuki-Chin-Mizo militants threatening the state’s integrity and redouble efforts to prevent further attacks.

Kuki-Chin-Mizo militants, in a mere attempt to form their dreamland ‘Zalen gam’, are constantly carrying out terror attacks and atrocities against innocent Meitei civilians, stated a release. It also alleged the Central government of aiding and abetting violence in the state.

It further condemned the Mizoram government for openly supporting those waging war against Manipur. The conflict is a hidden agenda of Kuki-chin-Mizo militants, pre-planned way before even the conflict broke out on May 3, it alleged.

It also pointed out that Manipur’s Churachandpur attempted to be included under Greater Mizoram during the signing of the ‘Mizo Accord’ between Mizo National Front (MNF) and the Central government and asserted that MNF has not yielded its dream to disintegrate the state till now.
