The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Monday campaigned for its partner Naga People’s Front (NPF) which is feilding its candidate Kachui Timothy Zimik for II-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency in the Lok Sabha elections.
Kachui Timothy Zimik landed in Tamenglong for a second visit as Naga People’s Front/ Democratic Alliance candidate on chopper.
However, Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Hill Areas chairman Dinganglung Gangmei were absent during the campaign in Tamenglong.
During his short stay in Tamenglong, Kachui Timothy Zimik sought support from voters and urged them to work together to develop Tamenglong and Noney district.
“I want to be your voice, I want to work for you and solve many issues lying before you,” he said. He fervently requested all to cast their valuable votes for him.
Tamenglong and Noney districts are highly important places for Zeliangrong community and will put a special package if he is elected. He also assured that he tries his level best to bring peace in Manipur.
In his welcome speech, MLA Janghemlung Panmei mentioned that it was a historical day for Tamenglong as three political parties came together on stage as NDA Campaign. It is fortunate for the Nagas as well, he added.
He said that Zeliangrong is purely and totally a National Democratic Alliance family. He said Tamei assembly constituency has NPF minister Awangbow Newmai, while Noney district has BJP minister Dingpu Gangmei and Tamenglong has NPF MLA Janghemlung Panmei.
He urged all to stand together on the UNC decision for casting their valuable vote for Naga consensus candidate Timothy. He also thanked all the former ADC members, tribe leaders, and CSO leaders.
NPF president and minister Awangbow Newmai also spoke on the occasion and urged to spread the message at village level to cast their votes for Naga consensus candidate Timothy Zimik.
