A district level ‘Nav Sankalp’ (new resolution) of the Congress party was organised by the Churachandpur District Congress Committee led by its president Chongbiak at the residence of Bungmual chief Mangchinkhup Paite in Churachandpur district on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president K Megachandra and his general secretaries, leaders of Mahila Congress of state as well as veteran Congress leaders and former ministers.
Speaking on the occasion, the MPCC president called for the need to revive the party. He said that ‘Nav Sankalp’ is all about reviving the party through empowerment of the youth, women and the party at the grass root level.
Former minister Manga Vaiphei mentioned that on May 18 the Congress party had organised ‘Chintan Shivir’, a head storming session where the party decided to resolve its entire shortcoming within 80 to 100 days.
